Betty Faye Pittman, 61, passed away at her home in Ennis on Sunday, September 25, 2011. She was born in Ennis, Texas on September 23, 1950 to George Aaron and Blossom Faye (Sharp) Gilbert. Betty grew up in Ennis and graduated from James Madison High School in 2003. She married Thomas Lee Pittman on April 1, 1986 and they made their home in Ennis.
She worked for Ables Enterprises manufacturing luxury window shades she also worked for Stories, Long John Silvers, and Consumers Grocery Store in Arkansas, Paramount Capps in Missouri and WalMart in Ennis. She participated in Relay for Life and served as a team captain. She was a member of Park Meadows Baptist Church in Waxahachie.
She is survived by her husband: Thomas Pittman; son: Frankie Pittman; daughters: Wendy Boyde, Earline Lambert and Glynda Eggleston; five grandchildren: James Hendricks, 19, Stephen Hendricks, 17, Tristan Eggleston, 14, Jacob Eggleston, 6 and Angel Lambert, 12 and three brothers: Larry Gilbert, George Gilbert and Glenn Gilbert. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son William Pittman and one brother Gary Gilbert.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
