Abel Castillo, 67, passed away on Thursday, November 26, 2020.

He was born in Ennis, Texas on August 9, 1953 to Raymundo and Josefa (Pena) Castillo.  He made Ennis his home for his entire life.

He was a loving and devoted brother, uncle and friend but he was most proud of his two sons, Kevin and Ryan Castillo.  He was a member of St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church in Ennis, Texas.  He always enjoyed life to the fullest and nothing could slow him down.  He was always very giving, loving and extraordinary man.  He loved baseball and football – he loved his Cowboys.

He is survived by two sons: Kevin and Ryan Castillo; three sisters: Delia Marlow, Yolanda C. Trujillo and Rosa Garcia and six brothers: Henry Castillo, Richard Castillo, David Castillo, Raul Castillo, Freddie Castillo and Edward Castillo, as well as many beautiful nieces and nephews.  He also had many dear friends -- Abel was the handi-man of the family, he could do almost everything if not he would try anyway.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Josefa and Raymundo, Sr, 3 brothers and 3 sisters.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 3, 2020 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis with Rosary at 7 p.m.

Mass of the Christian Burial will be held on Friday, December 4, 2020 at 10 a.m. in St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church.  Pallbearers will be Kevin Castillo, Ryan Castillo, Steve Castillo, Kevin Martinez, Jordan Koscielniek and Edward Castillo.  Honorary pallbeares will be Raul Castillo, Richard Castillo, David Castillo, Henry Castillo and Freddie Castillo.  Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
