Adail Kubin Parma entered into eternal life with Christ on August 6, 2021, at the age of 92.  She was born in Ellis County, Texas, on July 7, 1929, to parents John F. Kubin and Rosie (Ruzena) Zajic Kubin.

She was the sixth of eight first-generation Czech-American siblings, whom she loved dearly.  As a young girl, many of her stories were of life on the farm and her precious family.  She lost her father at the age of 9 and watched her mother & brother Johnny provide for the family. She admired her mother for her work ethic, resilience, faith in God, and loving nature, and often referred to her as a 'strong Czech woman.' She modeled herself after her mother by putting God first, family second, and career third, and passed this legacy on to her children and grandchildren. She attended grade schools in Rice & Ennis, Central High through her junior year, and then graduated from Ennis High School in 1946. After high school, Adail attended Elliot's Business College in Dallas. Her first position was at a major insurance company; she commuted from Ennis daily, taking the bus into Dallas and then the trolley to work. In 1953, she started her career at Leggett & Platt in Ennis, where she achieved multiple positions including office manager and executive assistant. In 1978 she became the first woman branch manager before retiring as plant manager at the end of 2008.

In 1946 she met her sweetheart, Edward J. Parma, and they married on November 23, 1948. Adail soon found herself sharing Edward's passion for gymnastics.  She was a natural; they each won national championships for best "all-around" gymnast but, unfortunately, never in the same year. They enjoyed life-long friendships with the many gymnasts of the Sokol Karel Havlicek Borovsky in Ennis. They also shared a love of music and dancing at the halls. Edward & Adail loved each other through 69 years of marriage, until his passing in 2018.

Adail & Edward raised 5 children with the same values of hard work & fun play. As a family they often were helping in the family grocery store, re-stocking shelves on Thursday nights, cleaning the store windows during Memorial Day weekend or prepping the Christmas trees for sale the day after Thanksgiving. Everything was a family affair. Adail's personal hobbies were baking, sewing, planning parties for her family, and travelling, including yearly trips to Las Vegas and Albuquerque's Balloon Fiesta.

Adail was a woman who played many roles: wife, mother, "Nana," sister, friend, and mentor. She was also a devoted church member of St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church and K.J.Z.T Society No.16-Ennis.

She is survived by five children: Sandra McLemore and husband Steve (Frisco), Ginger Bush and husband Tim (Ennis), Edward Parma, Jr. and wife Carole (Albuquerque, New Mexico), Adrianne Lee and husband James (Dallas), and Jason Parma (Ennis). She is also survived by nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, one sister-in-law, Geraldine Kubin, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Adail is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and grandson Eric Parma, as well as siblings Mildred Hubacek, John Kubin, Wilma Kasper, Ardrie Honza, Vlasta Knize, Geraldine Nekuza and Alvin Kubin.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm, with Rosary at 7:00 pm, on Tuesday, August 10, 2021, at J. E. Keever Mortuary.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, August 11, 2021, at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church in Ennis, Texas.  Interment will be held at St. Joseph Cemetery immediately following.
