Alan Douglas Watson passed away at his home on March 5, 2026.
Doug was born on January 23, 1953 to Doyle and Eva Marie (Corley) Watson. He graduated from Ennis HIgh School in 1971. Doug served in the US Air Force and after his honorable discharge he attended UT Arlington where he received his Bachelor of Arts.
Doug is survived by his wife Kathy Stephens Watson; son Samuel Watson and Jesika Morgan Watson; son Joel Watson; sister Cathy Watson Budjenska and Ken; nephew Brian Garrett and Sharla; niece Kimberly Garrett; sister-inlaw Judy Bishop and Charles; brother-inlaws Rickey Stephens and Rebecca; Franklin Stephens and Cindy; Mark Stephens; Juan Martagon; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents Doyle and Marie Watson.

Visitation will be held on Monday, March 9, 2026, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis.

Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, March 10, 2026 at 10 a.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel of Ennis with Frank Stephens officiating. Interment will follow in Chatfield Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
