Alpha Narel Robinson, 80 years old, went home to be with his Savior on Wednesday, April 29, 2026.

Narel was born on September 26, 1945 in Houston, Texas, to William Thomas Robinson and Opal Beatrice (Montgomery) Robinson. He grew up in Palmer, Texas and graduated from Palmer High School in 1964. On July 31, 1964 he married the love of his life, Nancy Kay Haught, and they made their home in Palmer.

He gave most of his working life to Palmer ISD in the Maintenance Department where he made lasting friendships with many. He was a lifelong member of Grace Baptist Church (Fundamental Baptist), where he served 17 years as the Missions Treasurer. Narel was a jokester and had a somewhat dry sense of humor that would make you laugh. He was often telling stories.  He loved to sing and loved to fish. The most important thing to him was family. Where Narel was, so was Nancy, and he kept a close eye on the lives of his kids and grandkids. He was a loving son, husband, father, and Pawpaw.

Narel is survived by his wife of 62 years, Nancy Kay Robinson, son William Todd Robinson and Julie, daughter Rhonda Kay Blankenship and Chad, daughter Dianna Dee Marusak and Matt. Grandchildren Troy Robinson and Erica, Sarah Bailey and Jacob, Logan Marusak and Mackenzie Marusak. 6 great grandchildren, Tommy Roe, William and Danica Robinson, Madilyn, Harper Jo, and Matthew Bailey. Sisters Verda Heard and Virginia Kay and Jim, brothers-in-law Bobby Hobbs and Michael Haught, sisters-in-law Dorothy Robinson, Ann Hardin, and Etta Haught, numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

He goes home to meet those family members who passed away prior to him including his parents, brothers Lloyd Robinson, Hallie Robinson and wife Linda, Everett Robinson and wife Nancy, sisters Joyce McElhaney and husband Louie and Billie Hobbs and brother-in-law Roger Heard.

VISITATION will be held on Thursday, May 7, 2026 from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. at Grace Baptist Church of Palmer.

A CELEBRATION OF ALPHA'S LIFE will be held immediately following at 2 p.m. at Grace Baptist Church of Palmer with Rev. James Smith officiating.  Interment will follow in Palmer Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
