Angeline (Angie) Georgia Slovacek, 83, passed away surrounded by her loving family in Ennis, Texas, on Friday, April 11, 2025.

Angie was born in Ennis, Texas on August 21, 1941, to Frank John and Bessie Stephanie (Vrla) Kubin. She grew up in Ennis, Texas and graduated from St. John High School in 1959.

On May 20, 1961, Angie married the love of her life, Emil R. Slovacek, Sr. and they made their home in Ennis.

Angie worked for Dr. Larry Dunkerly as his office manager in Ennis and as a receptionist for Lincoln Property Company in Dallas. Angie was a member of St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, Catholic Daughters of America, and KJZT #25. Angie enjoyed dancing (especially polka and waltz), singing, sporting events, gardening, yard work and her Czech heritage. Her family was the light of her life.

Angie is survived by eight children: daughter Angeline (Angie) Juenemann and husband, Dennis W.; grandson Joshua Abston, wife Julie, and their child Colton; granddaughter Melanie Dawn Wingo Mitchell, husband Joshua A. and their children Merrick, Jillian, and Reid; granddaughter Jenna Nicole Wingo Rejcek (deceased), and her children Aidan, Chance and Maddox; son Emil R. Slovacek, Jr., wife Stacy (McAlpin) and their children Kristine Zhanel, husband Brad and their children Blaine, Karter and Bekham; Mathew Slovacek; Mollie Tay, husband Josh and their children Jensen, Landon and Hayden; Bailey Varden,  husband Aaron and their children Caysen and Dayton; Jordan Slovacek; Chris Slovacek; Matt Smith Slovacek; Sylvia Molina; Rodrigo Molina; Abigail Molina; Anthony Molina; Joel Molina; Albert Earl Dickey; Kaitlin Jackson; Ellie Jackson; Emerson Alaniz; Savannah Sparks; Carey Sparks and wife Haley; son Frank Jerome Slovacek, wife Onica Cristina and their child Christian Frank; son Thomas A. Slovacek, wife Carol (Chapman) and their children Hannah Watson, husband Jason and their children Eloise, Jacob, Amelia, Joseph and Roberta; Paige Hughes, husband Joshua and their children Rosemarie and Lillianne; Noah Slovacek and partner Amberly Joseph; son Ronald Wayne Slovacek, significant other Lisa Auciello; and his children Ronald Taylor; Dylan Wayne and his fiancé Selina Cathey; and Madeleine Kaye Rose; son Michael Patrick Slovacek, wife Amy Denise and their fur babies Zilla (Godzilla) and KK (King Kong);  daughter Sharon Elizabeth Kjoller, husband Jeff and their children Lauren Collins, husband Alex and their children Mac and Griffin; Sara Isabelle; and Benjamin Philip; son Gerald L. Slovacek; Linda M. Thurman (Allie and Brandon's mother); and their children Alexandra N. and Brandon B. and his fiancé Erin Smith; sister-in-law, Sandra Kubin and numerous nieces and nephews.

Angie is preceded in death by her husband, Emil R. Slovacek, Sr., daughter, Rosemarie Slovacek; granddaughter, Jenna Wingo Rejcek, parents: Frank J. and Bessie Kubin; siblings: Frank Kubin, Joe Kubin, Bessie Vavra, Leslie Kubin, Mildred Cepica and Willie Kubin.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel of Ennis with Rosary at 7 p.m.

Mass of the Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at 10 a.m. in St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church of Ennis with Father John Dick as celebrant. Pallbearers will be Taylor Slovacek, Dylan Slovacek, Noah Slovacek, Brandon Slovacek, Jordan Slovacek and Christian Slovacek. Honorary pallbearers will be Josh Abston, Ben Kjoller, Mathew Slovacek, Matt Smith Slovacek, Chris Slovacek, Rodrigo Molina, Anthony Molina, Joel Molina, Carey Sparks, Albert Earl Dickey, Dennis Juenemann, Jeff Kjoller and Jeff Charpentier. Internment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.

The family would like to express our deepest gratitude and love to our dear sister-in-saw, Stacy Slovacek, for the endless and unconditional compassion and care provided to our mother. We would additionally like to express our gratitude and appreciation to Talina and Augusta and all the caregivers from Bristol Hospice for the love and care shown to our mother.
