Annette Faye Franjie (Forston) passed away on May 27, 2026 in Sugar Land, TX. A woman of boundless intellect, humor, and adventurous spirit, she leaves behind a legacy characterized by music, laughter, and global exploration.

Born on July 18, 1948, in Dallas, Texas to Ernie & Martha Forston, Annette took her fearless Texas spirit across the globe as she and her family built vibrant lives in multiple countries, including Lebanon, the United Arab Emirates, and Saudi Arabia before returning to the United States.

Music was a central pillar of Annette's life. An avid pianist, she found great fulfillment in teaching others how to play the instrument she loved. The soundtrack of her family's home was marked by the beautiful, dedicated process of her mastering a new piece. Her family will forever cherish the memory of listening to her from another room—hearing the deliberate starts, the sudden stops, and the eventual, breathtaking flow of masterpieces like George Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue.

She possessed a deep desire to connect with and uplift others, learning how to speak French and Arabic, while also dedicating time in Saudi Arabia to teach English to local women.

Her creative brilliance shone in many forms—she was a published writer, an eager student of the world, and even a standup comedian who delighted in bringing joy and laughter to an audience.

As a teenager, she developed a lifelong love for horseback riding. Her adventurous nature was perhaps best captured during a memorable ride on the shores of Bahrain, where she took off at a full, unbridled gallop, thoroughly terrifying her younger child who was riding with her.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Sayed; her two sons, Alex and Tony; her two grandsons, Alex and Chris; and her three brothers Bill, Bob, and Tim.

A service to celebrate Annette's extraordinary life will be held on June 4, 2026 at 2pm Central Time (viewing starts at 1pm) at JE Keever Mortuary in Ennis, Texas.
