Anthony James Macalik, Jr. passed away on December 5, 2024 in Ennis, Texas.

Anthony was born in Dallas, Texas on May 28, 1972 to Anthony and JoAnne (Zmolik) Macalik. He grew up in Mabank Texas and attended school there. After high school he began working at Maxim Integrated in Dallas and made his life in Ennis.

Anthony will be remembered most for his love of music and his cheerful spirit. He was a proud Czech member of the KJT, SOKOL, SPJST and VFW to name a few. He loved to play the accordion with friends and family any time that he could. He loved to listen to Czech music and to see all of his favorite bands play. He was a member of the Czech Harvesters and The Ennis Czech Boys. He loved to tell stories and make people laugh. He was a friend to everyone and he was always happy to lend a hand to anyone in need.

His memory will be cherished by his son John Macalik (fiancé Paige Gollehon), life partner and friend Lori Macalik, Brittany Robinson (Marty), Jonathan Rust, and Lexie Rust. Grandchildren Madilyn Rust, Allen, Kaylee and Matti Robinson and many family and friends.

Anthony is preceded in death by his parents Anthony and JoAnne Macalik and maternal and paternal grandparents.

Visitation will be at J.E. Keever Mortuary on Thursday, December 12, 2024 from 6-8 pm with a Rosary at 7 pm.

A celebration of life party will be held at the SOKOL in Ennis on Friday, December 13, 2024 from 6-10 pm. All are invited.
