Arthur Dee Yandell, 86, passed away in Midlothian, Texas on Wednesday, October 1, 2025.

Arthur was born on January 2, 1939, to William Franklin and Melvina (Carter) Yandell in Boggy Depot, Oklahoma.  Arthur grew up in Oklahoma and graduated from Milburn High School. Arthur married Linda Bell Cogburn on October 4, 1958, and they made their home originally in Wylie, Texas and settled in Ennis, Texas in 1962.

Arthur worked for a printing company as a pressmen for four years, for Ennis Automotive as a parts manager for forty-seven years, worked as a sub-contractor for Southwest Spray Painters for ten years and was the co-owner of Yandell Cleaning Service for four years.

Arthur was a member of the Life Pointe Church of Terrell, Texas, AARP and NRA. Arthur enjoyed spending time with family, hunting, fishing, reading his Bible and was the Ennis Daily News 2007 Father of the Year.

Arthur is survived by one son, Arthur Yandell and his wife, Karen; daughters: Cindy Yandell and Penny Yandell; nieces, Judith Martinez and Jolinda Yandell; grandchildren: Jordan Yandell, Bethany Yandell, Jessica Taylor, Rebecca Alsup, Kenneth Colby Martinez, Jerob Jacob Yandell and Gracee Oliver; six great-grandchildren along with a host of extended family and friends.

Arthur is preceded in death by his wife, Linda Yandell, his parents, three brothers and two sisters.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 5, 2025, from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. in the J. E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis.

A Celebration of his life will be held on Monday, October 6, 2025, at 10 a.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel of Ennis with Johnny Perry and Russell Hathcock officiating. Interment will follow in Myrtle Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
