Bernice S. Gee, 79, passed away on Wednesday, September 23, 2020 in Ennis, Texas.

Bernice was born in Ennis, Texas on March 20, 1941 to John L. and Mary (Krajca) Spaniel.  She grew up in Ennis and graduated from St. John High School in 1959.  In 1971 she married James Cicero and they made their home in Mesquite.  In 1988 she married William Gee and they made their home in Frost.

Bernice worked as a hair dresser for a while. She and James owned Hedgecock Artificial Limbs Company that made prosthetics and she worked in accounting for G&STrucking Company.  She was a member of St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church and KJZT.  Bernice enjoyed working in her flower garden and she loved all animals.

Bernice is survived by two step-daughters: Christy Crombie and Tracy Zollo; a sister, Mary Zabojnik numerous nieces and nephews; great-nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers: Raymond Spaniel, George F. Spaniel, Sr., Johnny L. Spaniel and sister, Olga Krysinski.

Rosary will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2020 at 10 a.m. and Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2020 beginning at 10:30 a.m.

Celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2020 at 11 a.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel in Ennis with Bruce Tekell officiating.Pallbearers will be George Spaniel, Jr., Johnny Spaniel, T. Spaniel, Randy Felton, Chad Radke, Johnny Spaniel and R.J. Zabojnik.  Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
