Betty Liska Landsfeld, 96, passed away on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 in Arlington, Texas.

Betty was born on January 13, 1924 to Joseph and Filomena (Svehlak) Liska.  She grew up in Ennis, Texas and attended the Lone Oak School in Creechville and St. John Catholic School.  Betty had to quit school due to her grandmother's illness.  On August 16, 1944 Betty married Wesley Landsfeld.  After their marriage they lived in several cities including: Ennis, Vernon, Chillicothe and Muenster.  Later, Betty and the children settled in Fort Worth.  Betty was widowed at an early age and raised five children.

Betty worked for the Muenster Phone Company as an operator, for Muenster Hospital as an aide, Fort Worth ISD in food services and as a Home Health Aide until retirement.  She was a member of KJZT, St. Andrews Catholic Church, Friendship Club in Fort Worth and the Ladies Circle.

Betty is survived by her children: Betty Krenek and husband, Stanley; Wesley Landsfeld, Jr. and spouse, Jay Swint; Anne Wiedower and husband, Mike; Helen Rogers; Steve Landsfeld and wife, Paula; grandchildren: Stace Covington and husband, Chris; S.K. Krenek III and wife, Lisa; Krystian Wiedower and wife, Kristin; Krystal Mayer and husband, Tony; great grandchildren: Maggie Wiedower, Olivia Wiedower, Zoianna Mayer and Izaiah Mayer; brother, Bob Liska and wife, Sadie; along with a host of extended family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Wesley Landsfeld, Sr.; brothers: Joe, Stanley and Frank Liska and son-in-law, Joe Rogers.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 from 9 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. with Rosary at 9:30 a.m. in St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church.

Mass of the Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at 10 a.m. in the St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church with Father John Dick as Celebrant.  Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to St. John Church Catholic Charity, St. John Capital Improvements or the St. Joseph Cemetery Care in Betty's name.
