Mrs. Betty Takats Redd died Sunday March 13, 2022 at Legend Oaks Healthcare facility in Ennis Tx.

She was born on August 1 1935 in Dallas Daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A.W. Takats. She graduated from Wilmer Hutchins High School.

On August 24, 1951 Betty married Dillard Todd Redd Jr. In 1975 they moved from Dallas TO Ennis, Tx., where Betty continued to work for Charles D. Owens (Textile) Manufacturing and was a very successful Mary Kay Representative.

Betty is survived by her two sons Franklin Todd Redd, and Ted and his Wife Dana Redd along with her grandchildren Wesley Redd and his wife Morgan, Justin Redd and his wife Lauren, Brett Redd and his wife Brittany, Brandon and Dillon Redd. She was also blessed to have five great grandchildren: Walker, Kelton, Parker, Henley and Sloane along with her Bonus grandchildren and greats Faith, Joshua, and Jacob Turner, Ronni and Aria. She is also survived by her sister Louise Martin along with many special friends and family members and her church family.

Betty is preceded in death by her Husband of 53 years, D.T.Redd, sister Dorothy Toninelli, and Brother A.W. Takats.

Betty was one of a kind, she was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great grandmother, Sister, Aunt, friend and follower of Christ. She was a faithful member of Hopewell Community Church where she loved serving the Lord and spending time with her church family. She was a wonderful example to many. She was a strong Christian woman who worked hard and took care of her family. Betty believed in the best of everyone, her love for others was unconditional and she never gave up on anyone, she was going to love you no matter what. She always had a giving heart, open arms, and open front door where you could walk in, get a hug, advice( whether you wanted to hear it or not), and some red beans and cornbread always. You always left with a full stomach and a full heart. To many Betty was a teacher of what love, friendship and family truly was, she taught us to love Jesus and helped us find our faith, but she could also teach you about fabulous hair, bright red lipstick, fur coats, and how to dress to impress!

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 18, 2022, from noon until 2 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis

Funeral Services will be held Friday March 18, 2022 at 2 p.m. in the Keever Chapel with Reverend Timothy Grant of Hopewell Community Church of the Assemblies of God.
