Betty Colvin Williamson, 86, passed away in Ennis, Texas on 05-20-2024

Betty was born in Ennis, Texas on May 3,1938 to John Paul and Mary Pauline Colvin. Betty graduated from Ennis High School in 1956. After graduating she attended LVN school for nursing at Waxahachie Hospital under Dr. W.C. Tenery. She received her LVN license in 1957. She remained a nurse her whole career, which spanned 61 years. During her career she gained many lifelong friends and loved ones. She was married to Ralph Williamson and they made their home here in Ennis.

Betty is survived by her son Kevin Wayne Gothard, grandsons, James Lee (Kottun) Cottongame Jr. and Kerry Wayne Cottongame and wife, Emily; three grandchildren: Hayden, Bryttan and Hudson, granddaughter Mary Gothard and her daughter, Alyah. She also survived by her brother James Paul Colvin and his son Paul. Numerous nieces and nephews, along with a host of extended family and friends. Betty is also survived by a very special cousin Rodney Venable, who she calls cousin/brother even though he is her cousin he is like a brother to her.

She is preceded in death by her mother and Father, her daughter Dana Marie Freeman, her brother Johnny Lee, her sister Beverly, her brother Jeff, and sisters Susan and Cynthia. She is also preceded in death by her husband Ralph and her children's father Royce Gothard. Also, several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, 05-22-2024, from 1P.M. until 2 P.M. at the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis. Followed by a graveside service at Myrtle cemetery. With Pastor James Patterson and Darrell Nelson.
