Billy David Denbow, 92, passed away on Thursday, November 10, 2022, in McKinney, Texas.

Billy was born in Corsicana, Texas on December 3, 1929, to Clarence Audry and Katie Aliene (Clements) Denbow. Billy grew up in Ennis and graduated from Ennis High School in 1947. On September 20, 1960, he married Elizabeth Darleene Hutchison and they made their home in Ennis. Billy served his country proudly in the United States Army.

Billy worked for over thirty-nine years for the Southern Pacific Railroad as a Police Officer. Billy was a member of the VFW and United Methodist Church. Billy enjoyed raising livestock, art, loading ammo and watching western shows.

Billy is survived by his sons: John Kirby and wife, Tami and Roy Kirby and wife, Sandy; daughters: Ginger Laybourne and husband, Richard, Lesa Tanisia and Paula Petraniwski and husband, Walter; numerous loving grand and great-grandchildren; one brother, Bobby Denbow and a host of extended family and friends.

Billy is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Darleene and children, Bill Kirby, Alice Woods and David Craig.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 16, 2022, from noon until 2 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis.
