Mrs. Bobbie Ruth (Allen) Chennault passed from this life on July 16, 2021 at the age of 91 with family by her side.

She was born August 3, 1929 in Detroit, Texas the daughter of John and Robbie Allen.  She grew up in the Blossom, Texas area where she attended school.

On August 21, 1945 she married the love of her life Clarence Chennault.  The were married for 58 years before he passed away.  Together they lived in Tyler, Arlington, and Ennis but she lived on Creechville Road in Ennis the longest at over 60 years.

Bobbie was a member of the Country Club Road Church of Christ in Ennis.  She enjoyed being a homemaker and taking care of her husband and children.  She loved to cook, read, color, sew and make scrapbooks of her family.  She collected items such as salt and pepper shakers, glass bells, and any kind of rabbit you could think of - stuffed, glass figurines, wooden, or a doll type.  They all made her smile and she had over 200 rabbits.  She enjoyed watching the Price is Right, Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy!

She is survived by 3 daughters and their spouses: Linda and John Sharpley, Teresa and Dwain Culpepper and Sherry and David Krajca.  Her life was blessed by many grandchildren: great-grandchildren, and even several great-great-grandchildren.  Grandchildren: John Blair and Lynette Sharpley; Jason and Catherine Sharpley; Bryan Sharpley and Kristen; Dillon Sharpley; Dawn and Chris Hodapp; Erik Culpepper (neighbor and grandson); Misty Culpepper; Cody and Vanessa Culpepper; Sheryl and Robert Honza; Angela Krajca; Michelle and Joseph McWhorter and Shelby and Lacey Aishman.  Great-grandchildren: Haley and Nate Allen, Dristan and Coleton Honza, Abigail Sharpley, Caleb, Scarlett McCabe and family, Alden Sharpley, Zoey Sharpley; Payton, Bryleigh, and Jackson Hodapp. Bailey and Lauren Culpepper, Claire Culpepper, Alyce Liam, Henry and soon to be Emerson Aishman.  Great-great-grandchildren are Wyatt, Wynter and soon to be Walker Allen.

She is proceeded in death by her beloved husband, Clarence (C.E.) Chennault, parents, John and Robbie Allen, and sister Johnny Wiggins.  Recently, she lost her grandson Kevin Culpepper in January, 2021 and her only son, Mike Chennault in October, 2020.

A graveside service will be held in the Elm Branch Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary on July, 20, 2021 at 10 a.m. with her Grandson-in-law Joseph McWhorter officiating.

A special thanks to Bobbie's caretakers who looked after her daily and she grew to love like family; Stella, Betty, Sylvia and Roma.  And also to Caring Hearts Hospice who helped our family get thru this difficult time.
