Bobbie Jean Spencer Story passed away September 4, 2022, in Tyler, Texas. Bobbie was born on February 18,1932, with her identical twin Bettie to Charles and Fleeta Spencer in Ennis, Texas.

Bobbie was raised in Ennis where she graduated high school.  On July 31, 1950, she married Luther M. Story.  Bobbie was the secretary to various bank presidents and was a legal secretary at the Baptist Foundation. She was very accomplished in her career in a time where few women worked outside the home.

Bobbie and Luther enjoyed retirement living in various places including Galveston, Corpus Christi, Harlingen, and Las Vegas.  Bobbie and Luther recently celebrated their 72nd wedding anniversary.

Known as "Mawmaw" by her grandchildren, they remember her as the family sports encyclopedia who could always be found watching the Dallas Cowboys and NASCAR on Sundays.

Bobbie is survived by her husband Luther Story; her two children - Monte Story of Whitney and Lynette Brynie of Tyler; her two grandchildren - Jaime Brynie with her wife Jamie; Michal Brynie with his wife Brandi; her four great-grandchildren - Kadin, Brooklyn, James and Brayden; And her two nieces Vicki Doherty and Teri Carper.

Bobbie is preceded in death by her parents Charles & Fleeta Spencer, and her identical twin sister Bettie Dillard.

Private family graveside services will be held Tuesday September 6th in the Myrtle Cemetery under the direction of  J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
