Bobbie Lou Tidwell, 91, beloved by all who were blessed to know her went home to meet her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, September 28, 2022, from Ennis, Texas.

Bobbie was born in Shawnee, Oklahoma on November 13, 1930, to Fred and Della Mae (Brown) Grantham. Bobbie graduated from Richland High School in 1947. Bobbie married the love of her life Howard Tidwell on September 11, 1951. They lived in New Braunfels, Texas, Richland and settled in Ennis.

Bobbie worked for Safeway Food Store as a cashier and was a file clerk for Ennis Business Forms for over twenty years. Bobbie was a long-time faithful member of Anthony Drive Baptist Church where she was a loved member of the Willing Workers Sunday School Class. Bobbie was a loving, giving and caring Christian ready to help anyone she could if it was only a sweet smile or a loving hug.

Family was the joy of her life, and she cherished each one of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Bobbie enjoyed traveling, fishing and playing rummy cube.

Bobbie leaves behind her loving family including sons: Leslie Tidwell and wife, Shelia and Gary Tidwell and wife, Kelley; daughter, Lisa Neely and husband, Steve; six grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends who loved her and will miss her greatly.

Bobbie goes home to meet her parents, her husband, Howard Tidwell, her son, Timothy, grandson, Matthew Tidwell, son-in-law, Dennis Laza, four brothers and two sisters.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2022, from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel of Ennis.

A Celebration of a life well lived will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2022, at 10 a.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel of Ennis with Rev. Matt Walker officiating.

Interment will follow in Richland Cemetery at 12:30 p.m. under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.

In lieu of flowers the family requests you make donations in Bobbie's name to either the American Macular Degeneration Foundation or a charity of your choice.
