Brad Ewing Newberry, 64, received his wings on Saturday, September 10, 2022, in Ennis, Texas.

Brad was born on June 25, 1958, to Albert Ewing and Jo Ann (Hoover) Newberry in Ennis, Texas. Brad grew up in Ennis and graduated from Ennis High School in 1976. In June of 2010 Brad married Connie Williams and they made their home in Ennis.

Brad worked for over fifteen years for Southern Pacific Railroad as a brakeman, was the owner of A+ Carpet Cleaning for ten years, was a pipe fitter for nine years for TI and as a driver for Mike's Delivery. Brad was a proud member of the 1975 State Championship Team of the Ennis Lions, was a member of Refiner's Fire Church and the American Legion Auxiliary. Brad enjoyed hunting and cooking. His family was the joy and light of his life.

Brad is survived by his wife, Connie Newberry; son Frankie Gutierrez and wife, Jesse; daughters: Katy Jo Newberry and Charrisse Gutierrez; six grandchildren: Alyssa, Breanne, Kayla, Keyley, Kinley and Frankie; one great-granddaughter, Lucy; sisters: Cathie Morales and husband, Trent and Caron Griffin and husband, Sam; numerous nieces, and nephews; mother-in-law, Elaine Williams, special friend Joe Kirkpatrick, a host of family dogs and especially "Lady". A special "thank you" to his dear friend, Tony Armstrong, for taking Brad on his last ride to his "happy place".

Brad is preceded in death by his parents and father-in-law, Randall Williams.

Memorial services will be Saturday, October 8, 2022 at Armstrong Farm in Byrd-Rankin (County Road 1343. Cry Creek at Blooming Grove, Texas. There will be a sign up on the Farm Market Road 2930 and County Road 1343). There will be a meal served at 11 a.m. prior to the service in Telico, Texas at the Telico Station. It has been advised by the family to attend the meal for fellowship, or arrive there before 12:30 p.m. There will be a caravan from Telico Station to the location of the memorial around 2 p.m.
