Brenda Gail Stockton, 73, passed away on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, in Ennis, Texas.

Brenda was born in Rome, Georgia on November 21, 1951, to J. E. and Clara (Welchel) Ross. Brenda grew up in Atlanta and graduated from North Clayton High School in 1969. She moved to Texas in 1972 and married Brian Stockton, on December 5, 1987. They lived in Ennis for many years. Brenda was a Paralegal for twenty-five years. Brenda was a member of the Church of Christ on Country Club Road, where she taught children's Bible School and was active in world Bible School for many years. She was with the Dallas Sheriff Department for three years and graduated 2nd in her class. She enjoyed painting and church related activities.

Brenda is survived by her husband, Brian of thirty-seven years: sons; Clayton Ross Stockton and wife, Stephanie and David Betsill and wife, Angle; grandchildren: Michael Pewwer, Robert Stockton, Austin and Melissa Betsill; brothers: Dallas, Gary, Jimmy and Michael Ross; sister, Tracey Banvelos along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Brenda is preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Kewey Wayne Ross and one sister Dorothy Spicer.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at 2 p.m. in the Church of Christ on Country Club Road. Pallbearers will be Dallas Ross, Gary Ross, Jimmy Ross, Clayton Stockton and David Betsill. Interment will follow in Myrtle Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
