Our beloved mother, Carolyn Jean Bright, passed away on July 17, 2026, surrounded by her family. She was born on March 5, 1950, in Waxahachie, Texas, to Nathan (Bud) and Estelle Craigheah Miller. Carolyn lived her whole life in Waxahachie, Texas. Carolyn devoted her life to her family and her faith, raising her two children with love. She was an member of the Water Street Baptist Church and enjoyed cooking, decorating cakes, embroidering, and spending time with her kids, grandkids, and great grandkids. Carolyn worked for Tyler refrigeration for 25 years before retiring and was a member of the local UAW, where she served as Union Steward.

She is survived by her beloved children, Clyde Griffith and wife Stacy of Waxahachie Texas, Christy Keele and husband Steve of Waxahachie, (Like A Daughter) Laura Vance and husband Jody of Waxahachie, Stepson Howard Bright and wife Nita of Waco. Grandchildren, Amanda Deleon and husband Chris, Fancy Arciba, Lyndsey Gonzales and husband Blake, Andre (AJ) Keele and wife Emmi, Marissa Vance, Stephen Keele Jr. and wife Jessica, Issac Bright, Jacob Bright, and Emily Bright.

Her sister Connie Miller and many nieces, nephews and great grandbabies. She loved every one of them with all her heart.

She is proceeded in death by her Husband Howard Bright Sr., Father Nathan (Bud) Miller, Mother Estell Miller, Brother Nathan Miller, Sister Linda Marie Harris.

"Mom, thank you for your boundless love, your endless patience, and the beautiful light you brought into our lives. Saying goodbye will be one of the hardest things we have ever done, but we will carry your wisdom, your strength, and your love in our hearts forever. We all LOVE you endlessly."

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the Wayne Boze Funeral Home in Waxahachie.

A Celebration of her life will be held on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at 2 p.m. in the Wayne Boze Funeral Home in Waxahachie,.
