With great sadness, Catherine Louise Humphrey, beloved wife, mother, aunt, grandmother and great grandmother passed away on Sunday morning September 21, 2025. She is preceded in death by her husband James R. Humphrey and her daughter, Sharron L. Korensek. She leaves behind three loving daughters, Sherry L. Lucas, Stephanie L. Huckaby, and Stacey L. Bobalek as well as 10 grandchildren, and 18 great grandchildren. She also leaves behind two sisters, Shirley Thompson and Georgette Dorsey and a brother, David Wellman all residing in Pennsylvania.

Born in New Castle, Pennsylvania October 15, 1936 to John and Catherine Wellman. The oldest of ten children who she loved and cared for. Catherine moved to Ennis in 1986 with her husband to support his career and together they shared 40 years of marriage before his passing.

Her devotion extended beyond her family and friends. Catherine was a member of the Tabernacle Baptist Church. She was an avid square dancer, bridge player, and crocheter for friends, loved ones and community. Her passion for helping others led to volunteering for many community services over her lifetime.

The family would like to thank all of the caregivers for their loving and comforting care. Her pain is gone and she will rest peacefully for eternity in our hearts and is God's arm in heaven.

Memorial services will be held on October 17, 2025, at 11 a.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel. Interment will follow in Myrtle Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
