Celia Garcia Fira, age 70, of Palmer, Texas, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, March 6, 2026. She was born in Calallen, Texas, on April 11, 1955, to Julio and Ramona Garcia.

Known to all who loved her she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Whose steady kindness and strength touched many lives. She had a laugh that could fill a room and bring smiles to everyone nearby. Her joyful spirit and sense of humor made even the simplest moments feel special. Beyond her gentle heart, she carried remarkable strength, facing life's challenges with courage, grace, and unwavering love for her family.

She is survived by her loving husband, Raul Fira of 56 years. Her children: Sandy Reyes and husband, Jose Guadalupe Reyes, Raul Fira, Jr., Katrina Castillo and husband, Adan Castillo, Julian Fira and wife, Sky Fira; nineteen grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren. Sisters: Nena Mata, Sylvia Rodriguez, Bertha Garcia Luna and Ramona Garcia. Brothers: Raymundo Garcia, Armando Garcia and Julio Garcia.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Julio and Ramona Garcia, her sister, Lydia Garcia and grandson, Xavier Fira.

Celia leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and devotion that will continue to live on through her husband, children, grandchildren and all who were blessed to know her. The memories she created and the love she shared will remain in the hearts of her family forever.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 12, 2026, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis with Rosary at 7 p.m.

Mass of the Christian Burial will be held on Friday, March 13, 2026, at 10 a.m. in the St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church with Father Agustin Fuertes as celebrant. Pallbearers will be Raul A. Fira, Damien Aguilar, Adan Castillo, Anthony Reyes, Jose Guadalupe Reyes, Francisco Garcia Cardona and Mario Garcia. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
