Charlene Wilhoite Hollowell, 91, passed away in Arlington, Texas on Friday, November 6, 2020.

Charlene was born in Rankin, Texas on October 8, 1929 to Floyd and Julia (Davis) Woodard.  She grew up in Rankin and attended school in Bardwell.  In March of 1946 she married Edward Earl Wilhoite and they made their home in Ennis.  Later she married Ronnie Hollowell on January 24, 1972 and they also made their home in Ennis.

Charlene worked for Ennis Business Forms as a collator, for Fine Line Ribbon on the assembly line, for Wright Dress Shop as a salesperson and she spent her remaining years as a homemaker.  She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church of Ennis and an Associate member of the American Legion.  Charlene loved her family and they were the joy of her life.  She enjoyed fishing on the lake, cooking, playing dominos and all Holiday's.

She is survived by her son, Tommy Wilhoite and his wife Louise; four grandchildren: Denise, Kylie, Kristina and Scott; nine great-grandchildren: nine great-great-grandchildren; a brother Donald Woodard; a sister, Jackie L. Oliver and a host of extended family and friends.

Charlene is preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, Edward Wilhoite and Ronnie Hollowell; two daughters: Judith Lott and Sandra Kerns; three sisters and two brothers.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 12, 2020 from 12:30 p.m. until 2 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, November 12, 2020 at 2 p.m. in Myrtle Cemetery with Rev. James Patterson officiating under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
