Charles Frederick Burgess Jr. , aged 73, passed away on August 10, 2025, in Ennis, Texas. Born on November 3, 1951, in Dallas, Texas, Chuck was cherished and loved by all.

Chuck worked hard to provide for his family;  the most important things in his life. He had a love of entertaining whether it be golfing, magic tricks and showing funny videos to his grandkids. Together he and his late wife Sheila made every holiday special for their loved ones. Above all else, his late wife Sheila was the love of his life followed by his three girls and eight grandkids.

Chuck is survived by his daughters: Cricket Van Cleave, Glena Ortiz, and Cristan Trojacek; and grandchildren: Macy Pallini, Cadence Van Cleave, Bobby Glen Ortiz, Collen Ortiz, Kylie Ortiz, Caris Trojacek, Crew Trojacek, and Cage Trojacek; brothers: Johnny Burgess, James Burgess and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his wife Sheila Ann Burgess; his mother, Yvonne Dittman; father, Charles Burgess, Sr.; brother, Glen Burgess; and grandmother, Willena Durkee.

A SERVICE TO HONOR CHUCK'S LIFE will be held at J. E. Keever Mortuary, Inc., located at 408 North Dallas Street, Ennis, TX 75119, on Friday, August 15, 2025, at 10 AM. His legacy of love and dedication will be remembered by all who knew him. Interment will follow in Myrtle Cemetery under the direction of J. E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.

Pallbearers will be: Collen Ortiz, Bobby Glen Ortiz, Crew Trojacek, Cage Trojacek, Kyler Burgess, and Casey Van Cleave.

The family would like to give a special thank you to Kathy Dixon, whose unwavering care and kindness allowed Chuck to remain in his home, surrounded by love, until the very end.
