Charles Louis Moore, 81, passed away in Ennis, Texas on Tuesday, January 30, 2024.

Friends and family will gather Saturday, February 3, 2024 to remember and celebrate the life of Charles L. Moore. He was a remarkable man whose presence touched the lives of many. Born November 20, 1942, in Ennis, Texas, the only child of Blossom and Charles Moore Jr., he embarked on a lifetime of adventures.

Charles, or Boy, as he was known growing up in Ellis county, was a loving father to Scarlett Moore Mihailov, Michael Charles Moore and son-in-law John Mihailov. He loved his children greatly and embraced the role of fatherhood, leaving a legacy of strength and resilience.

In his professional life, Charles soared to great heights, dedicating over four decades of combined service to Braniff Airlines and American Airlines. His career in this industry contributed to countless journeys and friendships around the world.  His work ethic and dedication set a standard that inspired those around him.

Beyond the demands of his career, Charles had a zest for life that was contagious. His hobbies spoke volumes about his adventurous spirit - from the thrill of car races, to the excitement of boat races, or his fascination with planes, and the joy of exploring new places through travel. Charles lived his life fully embracing every moment with enthusiasm, and a sense of wonder.

One of the greatest joys in Charles's life was time spent with his family. Whether it was at a Ranger's game or around the dinner table, he cherished those moments dearly.

Charles was also blessed with two granddaughters, Myranda Williams and Sierra Mihailov Bostic. He took pride in watching them grow into the women they are today. They both added another layer of joy to Charles' life with their marriages to Jacob Williams and Trey Bostic.

As we say our goodbyes, let us remember Charles, for the way he lived with passion, courage, and a deep love for those who meant the most to him.  May his spirit of adventure, and his commitment to family serve as a lasting legacy, inspiring us all to embrace life as fully as he did.

Charles is preceded in death by his parents Blossom and Charles Moore Jr., and Grandson, Jacob Williams.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 2, 2024, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis.

A Celebration of his life will take place on Saturday, February 3, 2024, at 10 a.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel of Ennis. Interment will follow in Myrtle Cemetery of Ennis under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
