Christine Mach, 80, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 29, 2024 in Ennis, Texas.
Chris was born the youngest of three children to John and Vlasta Kubin in Ennis on December 7, 1943.  She grew up and graduated from Ennis High School.  On June 8, 1963 she married Harry Mach and they made their home in Ennis.
She worked and enjoyed her role as Plant Manager at Ennis Business Forms. She was dedicated and enjoyed getting to know those with whom she worked. Having never acquired a driver's license, Chris was lovingly chauffeured to work by Harry until she retired. She was a member of St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church.  She loved her family and they were the most important thing in her life. Most evenings Chris and Harry could be found together on their patio listening to polka music and keeping an eye on the neighborhood. She found joy in painting, creating beautiful flower arrangements, spending time playing games on her computer, and loving on her constant companion, her dog Lucy. Her greatest delight, however, was hosting holiday gatherings, where she shared countless cherished recipes with her family, creating memories to last a lifetime. She was the consummate hostess, never eating until everyone else was fed.
She is survived by her son, Harry Edward "Eddie" Mach, Jr. and wife, Stephanie; grandchild, Hayden Edward Mach; two great-grandchildren; Paige and Bryson Mayfield; niece, Vickie Nekuza and husband, Dennis; great-nieces: Ashlee Smith and husband, Hunter with daughters, Allie and Ella; Kristin Vavra and husband, Matthew with daughter, Vivian.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Harry, parents, granddaughter, Casey Mayfield, a brother and a sister.
Visitation and Rosary will be held on Friday, December 6, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at J.E. Keever Mortuary.
