Christopher Vick, age 51, passed away with the love of his life, his wife, Gwendolyn Vick, by his side, hand in hand, January 6, 2024. He was born in Waxahachie, Texas June 2, 1972.

Christopher had an adventurous life. He always loved to tell and share of his adventures in the states and in Afghanistan. But his happiest adventure was when he took a leap of faith and met his wife in July, 2020. They wed on March 26, 2023.

They enjoyed traveling together. He enjoyed hunting in Val Verde County and fishing on the Devils River and the Pecos River. He was diagnosed with cancer in December 2021. His newfound love for walking in Christ helped him in obtaining the strength to fight a good fight against cancer and find peace in knowing of his salvation. His last days were spent in Dallas, unfortunately, to obtain his medical treatments and care leaving him unable to fulfill his last wish of being at home with his wife.

He enjoyed his grandbabies and loved spending time with his kids in Comstock, Texas, embracing family game nights and movie nights. Chris loved the Dallas Cowboys like a true fan. He was always excited to be a part of the spontaneous parties for the grandbabies. He enjoyed woodwork; that helped him explore his crafty side. Many projects remain to remind us of his talent. Many memories of Chris and Gwen hiking many state parks and riding dirt roads will be cherished. Chris was known to always be a helping hand throughout his community. To have met him was to become instant friends.

Chris is survived by his wife, "the love of his life", as he called her, Gwendolyn Vick; their two daughters: Chelsea Perry and Chesney, and her husband Weston Seahorn; grandbabies: Aurora, Elena, Wyatt, Peyton, Blair, Olivia and Maverick. He is also survived by daughters Anita Murray and Amanda Linden, from a previous marriage; and grandchildren: Harper, Finley and Bexley.

There will be a private celebration of Christopher's life in his hometown with the community in Comstock, Texas.
