Connie (Whitlock) Hobbs, 82, passed away peacefully at her home in Ennis, Texas on November 2, 2020 with her family by her side.

Connie was born in Ennis, Texas on April 8, 1938 to Seburn Sherwood and Robbie Mae (Carter) Whitlock. She grew up in Ennis and graduated from Ennis High School in 1956. On May 17, 1958, she married Jack William Hobbs and they made their home in Ennis, Texas.

Connie worked as a secretary for Ennis Furniture Mfg. for many years until she retired to devote full-time to taking care of her husband during his battle with cancer. After her retirement, she worked part-time as a receptionist to Pediatrician, Dr. Barry Davison, where she enjoyed working with the children.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Ennis. She enjoyed listening to music, the Ennis Lions Football games on Friday nights, crocheting, spending time with her pets, puzzles and working in her yard. The joy of her life was spending time with her family. She loved all holidays but especially decorating for Christmas and baking goodies for all to enjoy. She looked forward to anytime the family could get together and spend time with each other.

She is survived by her sons Chess Hobbs and Greg Hobbs; her daughters Julie Hobbs, Wendy Pustejovsky and husband Jimmy; grandson Cole Hobbs and wife Kristen; grandson Clay Bayes; grandson Tyler Hobbs and wife Emily; granddaughter Chasitie Watson and husband, Kris; granddaughter Mayson Pustejovsky; granddaughter Rileigh Navarro and husband Cody; granddaughter Laynie Pustejovsky; along with great grandchildren Kate Hobbs; Clayton Jack (CJ) Bayes, Kyleigh Bayes; Aspen Watson, Sydney Watson; and Jase Hobbs. Niece Christie (Whitlock) Freelove and husband, Kevin. Brother-in-law, Jim Perry and niece Karla Perry. Along with her treasured friends Nelle Cook and Sherrie Hodo.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Seburn and Robbie Whitlock; her husband Jack Hobbs; her brother William (Bill) Whitlock; mother-in-law Marie Hobbs (Nanny); sisters-in-law, Kay (Jones) Whitlock, Kay (Hobbs) Perry and nephew Billy Whitlock.

Visitation will take place on Thursday, November 5, 2020 at 12:00 p.m. in Keever Mortuary of Ennis.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, November 5, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. in Myrtle Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.

Her beloved companions were her animals. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Ellis County SPCA in her honor.
