Coy Lynn Wilhoite, passed away peacefully at his home in Ennis, Texas on Tuesday, August 6, 2024. He was born to Billy Jack "Jackie" Wilhoite and Janice Hayes on April 10, 1969. He had been battling cancer for several years and now he his no longer in pain, and at home with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We are certain that his dad and grandparents were waiting to welcome him home.

Coy was a truck driver, following in the footsteps of his dad. He worked for Tim Armstrong Trucking before having to retire due to his illness. Tim Armstrong was always a great friend to him. He loved being on the road. If he was home, you find him outside. He loved working on projects and in the yard. He also loved fishing in the pond behind the home he grew up in and still lived in, and anywhere else that he might catch some fish! Another one of his loves was his motorcycle "The Harley", he so enjoyed riding.

Coy loved his family so much. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his spouse Carolyn and their much-loved dog, Samson. Step children, Jennifer Greer, Tandra Haven, Shon Sulik and Jon Short and seven step grandchildren. His mother Vicki Wilhoite, and sisters, Lisa Kiburn, Tanya Price and husband Steve, Torri Mullins and husband Johnny. He also leaves behind several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Billy Jack "Jackie" Wilhoite and a stepson Alvin Short along with grandparents Robert and Blondina Wilhoite.

A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
