Danielle Marie Ross, 35, of Ennis, Texas passed away suddenly on Sunday, August 3rd 2025.  Born in Ennis, Texas on December 1st, 1989, to Michael and Stephanie (Cabrera) Ross, Danielle grew up in Ennis and graduated from Ennis High School in 2008.  She then pursued a career in childcare working at Apple Ridge, and Cedar Ridge Academy before becoming a Paraprofessional at Ennis High School where she worked as the I.S.S. Teacher.

Growing up, Danielle had a love for softball, soccer, and basketball, which she played at the Ennis Boys and Girls Club.  She was a brown-belt in karate and could proudly break 3 boards at once.  As a diehard Ennis Lions Fan, it was often said that she bled maroon.  She participated in the Ennis Marching Band throughout high school, and was ecstatically proud that her nephew, Mikey would be following in her footsteps and Marching as a freshman in the upcoming football season.  Danielle loved those Friday Night Lights and served on the E.H.S. Tunnel Crew at every football game.  During the games you could find her down on the field with the E.H.S. Cheerleaders, as she was presumably their #1 fan.

Known endearingly as "The Warden" by her family and friends, she always tried to keep everyone "in line."  Danielle could not have children of her own, but she never missed out because she cared, wholeheartedly, for so many kids!  Prior to her role at E.H.S. and during her summer breaks as an E.H.S. employee, she babysat numerous children from the comfort of her home.  She also served in Children's Ministry at Foundation of Life Church.  Most importantly, she formed lifelong bonds with every kid she met—they knew they could always count on Danielle to be their cheerleader no matter what they had going on.  In her classroom, she would keep snacks for kids to get throughout the day and was so proud to display posters on her walls of her "babies" participating in various Ennis Sports.

Danielle shared a special bond with her cousin, Nevaeh who she took care of like she was her own. She was Danielle's pride and joy!  Nevaeh participates in competition-level cheer, which kept her and Danielle very busy—from practice, to extra tumbling practices, and traveling for competitions, cheer consumed most of their daily lives.  Danielle would not have had it any other way.  She made sure Nevaeh practiced at home and consulted often with coaches on what she could do to help Nevaeh improve her skills.  She and Nevaeh could often be seen practicing at the park.  They shared a love for Taylor Swift, and Tik Tok, and keeping up with the latest trends, which Danielle always made sure they were involved in.  Danielle lived for her time spent with Nevaeh and cherished their bond very deeply.

Danielle was also a dog mom to her baby, Meeko.  She loved spending time with her family and friends, which she always made time for.  She loved collecting any kind of cup, could always be found sporting one of her various pairs of Crocs, and she would never turn down a shopping trip or an opportunity to go eat at a good restaurant.  In her spare time, she would often work for Door Dash.

Danielle is preceded in death by her grandmother Fannie Cabrera.

Left to mourn this great loss are Danielle's parents, Michael and Stephanie Ross; Sisters, Hilary (Brandon) Foshee, McKayla Ross(Brandi), and RaeAnne (Paul) Jones; Brothers, MJ Ross and Justin (Josef) Spence; Nephew, Mikey Foshee; Nieces, Macey and Millie Foshee; Cousins, Nevaeh, Diamond, and Desmond Jackson, and Lennon Cabrera; Uncles, Freddy and Gavin Graham-Cabrera; and many other family members.  She also leaves behind her Cheer Bestie, Rylee Jo Burton, and many other close friends, as well as her Godparents, Mary Zapata and Tommy Zapata.

The family would like to extend heartfelt gratitude to Gina Vela, Alyssia Halbrooks, Kim Deluna, Terry Lambeth, Brandi Lambeth, Reagan Barham and Tesa May and family, Larissa, Bethany, and Makenzie Reyes, for their extraordinary support in comforting the family during this incredibly difficult time. For all the selfless acts of cleaning, cooking, and sharing quality time, your kindness is a blessing that can never be repaid.

Thank you to all the family and friends who generously sent food, drinks, paper goods, or visited the house; your compassion and generosity are a beacon of hope during this time.

Visitation will be Sunday, August 10, 2025 from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. at J. E. Keever Mortuary, 408 N. Dallas Street, Ennis, Texas.

Celebration of Life Service will be Monday, August 11, 2025 at 10 a.m. at Foundation of Life Church, 2003 E. Ennis Avenue, Ennis, Texas, with Reverend Raymond E. Richardson Officiating.
