Deana Michelle Erickson entered a place of perfect peace and beauty on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, in Waxahachie, Texas—free from all suffering and held in the loving presence of God (Revelations 21:1–8).

Born on September 1, 1954, in Ennis, Texas, to Tommy Levi and Allene (Green) Cooper, Deana grew up surrounded by family, faith, and the small‑town charm she cherished throughout her life. She graduated from Ennis High School in 1973. In 1995, she married Alfred Erickson, and together they made a home in Garland before retiring back to her beloved hometown of Ennis.

Deana's strong work ethic and unwavering values took root early, beginning with her first job at Gibson's Discount Center in the early 1970s. She later spent many years at Safeway Grocery Store until its closure in 1987. With her natural leadership and gift for connecting with people, she transitioned into the credit union world, ultimately serving as a branch manager with Resource One—a role in which she touched countless lives with her kindness, fairness, and steady guidance.

To those who knew her, Deana was a constant source of laughter, comfort, and companionship. Growing up side by side with her siblings, she embraced life's joys and challenges with courage and humor. Her infectious laugh, generous heart, and willingness to help anyone in need made her unforgettable. She leaves behind a legacy woven from love, loyalty, and memories that will be cherished for generations.

Deana also expressed her creativity through her timeless sense of style and her remarkable talent for makeup artistry. Whether she was recreating Priscilla Presley's iconic cat eye or channeling the elegance of Jacqueline Kennedy, Deana had an unmatched ability to capture the look of the moment. Her flair, confidence, and artistic touch made her shine wherever she went.

Deana is preceded in death by her parents, Tommy and Allene Cooper; her brothers and their wives, Sonny and Gloria Davis, and Buddy and Nancy Davis; her nephew Len Cranford; and her niece Leah Beth Oates.

She is lovingly survived by her sisters and their husbands, Teresa and Edward Gerich, and Saberina and Michael Turner; her nieces and nephews Heather (Chad) Hall, Zachary (Vanessa) Gerich, Michael (Kursten) Turner II, Lucy (Clint) King, Debbie (Charlie) Tharp, and Buddy (Shelley) Davis, Jr.; and her great‑nieces and great‑nephews Harrison, Emme, Daisy, and Magnolia—each of whom brought her immense joy.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 12, 2025, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at 2 p.m. in Myrtle Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
