Dickie Nichols Adair, 84, of Ennis, Texas, passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by family on Sunday, August 6, 2023. He was born March 13, 1939. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Shirley Jean Adair and will be laid to rest next to her.

Dickie loved his faith, family, fishing and gardening.

Dickie is survived by his brother, Michael Adair and his wife, Linda. He is survived by his six children: Charlene Hurley and her husband, Kenny Adair and his wife, Cathy Adair, Stephen Adair and his wife, Jeff Adair and Nicole Adair; his seven grandchildren: Rachael Ruane and her husband, Amanda Medlyn and her husband, Hailey Hodges and her husband, Kenny D. Adair, Quinton Adair, Serena Griffin and Seara Griffin and his nine great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 10, 2023, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary, 408 N. Dallas Street, Ennis, Texas.

A public memorial will be held on Friday, August 11, 2023, at 10 a.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel in Ennis with Travis Hodges as celebrant.  Pallbearers will be Adam Adair, Jason Ruane, Dustin Medlyn, Bill Griffin, Kenny D. Adair and Jeremy Tennery. Interment will follow in Myrtle Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.

Relatives and friends are welcome to celebrate Dickie's life.
