Dolores Ann Venable, 91, went home to meet her Jesus Christ on Tuesday, May 17, 2022, in Ennis, Texas.

Dolores was born in Ennis, Texas, on February 1, 1931, to Wesley E. and Emma (Prochaska) Dvorak.  Dolores grew up in Ennis and graduated from Ennis High School.  On November 10, 1956, she married the love of her life Winford Venable and they made their home in Garrett, Texas.

Dolores worked for the City of Garrett for many years as the City Secretary and worked doing bookkeeping also.  Dolores was a member of Friendship Baptist Church of Ennis.  Dolores was a loving mother and loved attending church services at her home church and visiting other churches so she could fellowship with other Christians. Dolores enjoyed painting, crafting and gardening.

Dolores is survived by her devoted daughter, Renee Marchant; grandson Rob Marchant; brother, Ernest Dvorak and a host of extended family and friends.

Dolores is preceded by in death by her parents, her husband, Winford Venable and beloved son-in-law, Robert Marchant.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, May 20, 2022, in the Elm Branch Cemetery of Bardwell at 10 a.m. under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
