Donald Bruce Woodard, 76, passed away on Wednesday November 11, 2020 in Waxahachie, Texas.

Donald (Pop) was born in Lone Cedar, Texas on January 28, 1944 to Floyd and Julia (Davis) Woodard. Donald grew up in Boyce and Reagor Springs and went to Waxahachie schools. He worked for Storey Manufacturing for over 25 years before he opened his own dress cutting business, Don's Dress Cutting. After retiring from there, he continued his work at J & L Trailer sales in Ennis where he had many coffee talks with all of the customers.

He was married to Lupe Woodard for 4 years. Donald and Lupe enjoyed going to different restaurants, trying new foods together. He had a fur cat, Pete, that he loved so much.

To know Donald meant that you knew there was one thing more important than anything, it was being Pop. Pop was known for the character behind his smile and the selflessness that he showed his family and friends up until the day he left this Earth. He was so proud of his babies and made sure everyone knew just how proud! He was a man of many many words and you never left a conversation without direction.

He is survived by his wife, Lupe S. Woodard; daughter Monica Butler Reece and husband Mike Reece; stepsons Brandon Cruz and wife Brittany and Johnny Cruz and wife Jennifer; sister Jackie Oliver and husband Larry; grandchildren Nathan Woodard, Magen Sparkman, Conner Butler, TJ Schilling and Cody Schilling; 7 step grandchildren Briana, Brandon, Brielle, Ryker, Amari, Cheyenne and Axel Cruz; great grandchildren Brady, Jolee and Teigen Sparkman, Colt, Eli and Cayden Schilling, and Issac Cruz; and many many other nieces and nephews that loved him very much.

He is preceded in death by his parents, late wife of over 50 years Mary, son Randy Woodard, son-in-law Carl Butler, four sisters and two brothers.

Pallbearers are TJ Schilling, Cody Schilling, Christopher Macon, Michael Kozlovsky, Dillon Fincher, Daniel Sparkman, Chad Butler, and Marcus Alvarado.
Honorary pallbearers; Keith Enslin, Larry Sullivan and Brad Doherty.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 15, 2020 from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis.

A Celebration of his life will be held on Monday, November 16, 2020 at 2 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel in Ennis.  Interment will follow in Myrtle Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
