Donna Lynn Dickerson, lovingly known as "Mimi," passed away Wednesday, October 2, 2024. She was born August 9, 1947 to Thomas and Virginia (Horton) Branton, of Ennis. She attended Ennis High School and graduated in 1965.

On May 25,1963 (his 16th birthday), she met David Dickerson Sr for a blind date. They married on October 14, 1965 and the rest is history.

Donna looked forward to her annual camping trips with David to Fairfield State Park and Jamaica Beach on Galveston Island. She loved the beach and quiet evenings watching the sunset. Donna wore many hats over the years. She was a cub scout leader, little league soccer and football mom, bus driver and was the office manager at Ables Sheet Metal & Mini Storage for 30 years until retirement.

She is survived by sons; Rodney Dickerson, David Dickerson Jr and Cody Dickerson and wife Dana, two granddaughters; Jaeden and Peyton Dickerson; sister, Brenda Souther. Also, their best friends of over 50 years, Don and Linda Howard.

Donna is preceeded in death by her husband of 58 years, David Dickerson Sr, parents Thomas and Virginia Branton and brother, Thomas Branton.

We would like to thank her best friends, Baylor Baptist Sunday School class and Sorority Sisters for their love and support while she recovered from a stroke this summer.

Visitation will be held on Monday, October 7 at 1pm in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis, Texas. A celebration of her life will be immediately following at 2pm. Interment will follow in Myrtle Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.

The pallbearers are Carlos Jiron, Danny Howard, Keith Howard, Kenny Davis, David Gurecky and Shane Mansell, with Larry Howard as Honorary Pallbearer.

Donations, in lieu of flowers, would be appreciated to Boston's Market at Ennis High School and the Baylor Baptist Youth Group, PO Box 1304, Ennis, TX 75120.
