Dora Alicia Muniz, 69, passed away in Waxahachie, Texas on Wednesday, August 19, 2020.

Dora was born in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico on February 14, 1951 to Nicholas and Maria (Reyes) Lozano.  She grew up in Nuevo Laredo and attended school there.  On December 20, 1970 she married Jose Muniz and they lived in Nuevo Laredo for many years before moving to Laredo, Texas and then to Ferris in 1982.

Dora worked for ATCO for twenty-seven years in the Assembly Department.  Dora was a member of the Jesus Cristo Es Mi Refurjo Church of Dallas and she loved going to church.  Dora enjoyed shopping.

Dora is survived by her husband of over forty-nine years, Jose Muniz; son, Jorge Muniz and Maria Martinez; daughter, Alicia Careres and Alex Vallejo; seven grandchildren: Daniel, Jesse, Erik, Emily, Jimena, Omar and Yesenia; one great-grandchild, Jonathan; brothers: Ray Lozano, Juan Lozano, Nicholas Lozano, Jr. and Alfredo Lozano; sister, Nativida Mercado; god-daughter, Mayra Lozano and a host of extended family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Gilbert Lozano.

She was loved and will be missed.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 23, 2020 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis.

A Celebration of her life will be held on Monday, August 24, 2020 at 10 a.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel of Ennis.  Interment will follow in Palmer Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
