DOROTHY JANE (PAVLACKA) LANGER , age 93 of Ennis, Texas passed away in Ennis on July 21, 2025. She was born December 20, 1931 in Ennis, Texas to Stanley Pavlacka and Jewel (Thompson) Pavlacka Absher.

Dorothy was a member of St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, SPJST #25 and KJT #35.  She was the proprietor of the Bargain Box for several years and made numerous friends during this time that had remained dear to her heart even after her health forced her to close the doors.

Dorothy is survived by daughters Linda (Langer) Edwards, Carolyn (Langer) Moore, Barbara (Langer) Mitchell, Judy (Langer) Kudrna, son Edwin G. Langer and wife, Patty and brother, Gene Pavlacka, 9 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, 12 great- great- grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Frank Langer, parents, Stanley Pavlacka and Jewel (Thompson) Pavlacka Absher; sisters, Helen (Pavlacka) Mikel, Margaret (Pavlacka) Tipping; brother David Stanley Pavlacka;  and great-grandson, Corey Shane Steward.

VISITATION will be Tuesday, July 29, 2025 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. with Rosary at 7 p.m. at J. E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis, 408 North Dallas St., Ennis Texas 75119.

FUNERAL LITURGY OUTSIDE OF MASS will be held on Wednesday, July 30, 2025 at 10 a.m. at the J. E. Keever Mortuary Chapel of Ennis with Father John officiating. INTERMENT will be in St. Joseph Cemetery under the direction of J. E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.

Pallbearers will be: John Bailey, Brent Bratcher, Daniel Kudrna, Brannon Tennison, Keenon Fudge and Curtis Sturgeon.

Honorary Pallbearers will be: Elvin Allen, Andrew Bratcher, Nathan Bratcher, James Bailey, Melanie Bailey and Ethan Friend.

The family wishes to thank Bluebonnet Rehab of Ennis and Bristol Hospice for the care provided to Dorothy.
