Dorthy Marie Usery Thiry was born on September 21, 1949 in Cedar Hill, Missouri to Harold Bunch and Juanita Mae (Wilson) Usery.  Dorthy was raised as a country girl and loved helping her dad in the sawmill business.

She was saved at Morris Mill Baptist Church at the age of 12 and baptized in a creed in Morris Mill Missouri.  Dorthy moved to Irving, Texas in 1969 and started her career as a quarter master for the Dallas Police Department.  She retired from DPD in 1990 and moved to Ennis, Texas where she finished her working career at Atlas Sound.

Dorthy had many passions one of which was playing dominoes with Gene and Delores Whittington.  Being reared a country girl she loved her "precious" puppies, each one of them and most recently Bella her constant companion.

Dorthy had a sincere love for God, His Word, her Church (Bible Baptist / Ambassador Baptist Church) and her church family.  She was consistent and dependable in all she did for God and others.  Dorthy was preceded in death by her father, Harold Bunch Usery, her mother Juanita Mae Wilson Usery, brother, Henry Lee Usery.

She is survived by sister, Sarah Kathleen Sutton of St. Louis, Missouri, a niece and nephew, close friends, Carolyn Shaw and Linda Brezavar and her Ambassador Baptist Church family.
