Dwight Newton Betts, 70, passed away on Saturday, October 30, 2021 in Ennis, Texas.

Dwight was born in Ennis, Texas on September 20, 1951, to D.W. "Dick" and Dorothy (Wilson) Betts. He grew up in Ennis and graduated from Ennis High School in 1969. Dwight went on to graduate from SMU with a Master's Degree in Business Administration. Dwight was a lifetime Ennis resident.

During his career he worked as a loan officer for Main Bank and Red Oak Bank. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Ennis. Dwight enjoyed spending time with his family, reading, and collecting historical items especially civil war. Dwight had a great love for animals.

Dwight leaves behind his loving family including his son, Jacob Dellian Betts; daughter, Jolee Rene' Kincaid and husband, Kelly; granddaughter, Ryann Rene' and countless extended family and friends.

Dwight is preceded in death by his parents, Dick and Dorothy Betts.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, November 20, 2021, at 10 a.m. in the First United Methodist Church of Ennis.
