Eileen Wheeler, 83, passed away in Carrollton, Texas on Wednesday, March 3, 2021.

Eileen was born in Ennis, Texas on November 4, 1937 to John and Louise (Gallenger) Thompson.  She grew up in Ennis and graduated from Ennis High School in 1955.  Eileen married John Henry Wheeler on September 16, 1972 and they made their home in Garland.

Eileen worked for several doctors' offices as a nurse for over twenty years and for the Garland ISD for twenty-two years in the cafeteria.  She enjoyed knitting and painting.  Eileen began painting when she moved to the coast.

She is survived by a son, Jason Wheeler; a daughter, Lisa Turner; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends.

Eileen is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, John Henry Wheeler and a son, James Wheeler.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, March 6, 2021 at 2 p.m. in Myrtle Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
