Rev. Eleanor Carmen Ingram passed from this life into glory on Friday, September 25, 2020, at 8:24 AM with family members present. She was born July 28, 1944, at Lurgan County, Armah, in Ireland, the daughter of Francisco & Rachel Aguirre. She and her mother immigrated to the United States when she was two years old. She attended Our Lady of Victory Academy in Ft Worth, Texas. She was married to John R. Ingram of Waxahachie on August 31, 1961. After their marriage, they lived in the Waxahachie area where they raised their five children, Rusty, Carla, David, Shannon, and Philip. Her husband and she entered into full-time ministry in Waxahachie and Midlothian. They served in various established churches and helped to plant several churches in Ellis County. They became the pastors of Palmer First Assembly of God in June of 1983, and Carmen celebrated 37 years of pastoral service this year. Her husband, John, became ill and Carmen faithfully cared for him until his passing in June of 2004. During the time of his illness, she took up the mantle to pastor their church and has continued until her recent passing. Over the years she has mentored many spiritual sons and daughters in the faith. She was known for her love of people, bright sense of humor, and generosity of heart. She will be sorely missed and always remembered.

She is survived by her children and their spouses, Rusty & Karen Ingram of Midlothian, TX, Carla & John Phillips of Ennis, TX, David & Sherry Ingram of Montgomery, TX, Shannon Ingram Kemp of Ennis, TX, and Philip & Gabriella Ingram of Tomball, TX. She is also survived by her sisters, Irma Gandarilla of Ft Worth, TX, Yolanda Sanchez of Ft Worth, TX, and 24 grandchildren with 25 great-grandkids.

Funeral Services will be held at 10 AM, Wednesday, September 30, 2020, at First Assembly of God in Waxahachie with Rev. Monte Madsen and Darren Wynn of Palmer First Assembly of God officiating. Interment will be in the Palmer Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary. Rev. Jasen Exley, Presbyter of the Waxahachie Section of the Assemblies of God will officiate at the Graveside Service. Serving as pallbearers will be grandchildren Paul Michael Ingram, Stuart Ingram, John Michael Phillips, Joshua Phillips, Christopher Ingram, and Cody Kemp. The family will receive friends at the J.E. Keever Mortuary in Ennis, TX on Tuesday, September 29, 2020, from 6 – 8 PM.
