Evelyn Marie Novotny, 91, of Ennis, TX passed away peacefully on December 26, 2023. She was born February 26, 1932 in Ennis, Texas to Henry and Mary Jurica.  Along with her husband Ladis, Evelyn made her home in Ennis.

Evelyn lived each day to the fullest.  She loved her family and friends deeply and would do anything for anyone.  Evelyn loved spending time with friends and she never met a stranger.  She was a one-of-a-kind lady, who drew people in with her vibrant personality.

Evelyn enjoyed playing BINGO, dancing, Czech music, and socializing.  You would rarely catch Evelyn without her hair and nails looking picture perfect.  Evelyn enjoyed shopping and adding to her ever growing jewelry collection.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Ladis Novotny, special friends Bill Simek and Burl West, and son, Billy Novotny.   Evelyn's daughter in law, Teresa McCarthy, was waiting at the gates of heaven, having passed only hours prior to Evelyn.

Evelyn is survived by her son, Bobby Novotny and wife Becky Novotny, granddaughter Hillary Laza and husband Scott Laza, grandson Jeremy Novotny and wife Tiffany Novotny, grandson Brad Novotny and wife Becca, grandson Brian Novotny and wife Ashley, great-grandchildren Hannah, and longtime boyfriend Grant, Brady, Liam, Blaine, Selah, Noelle, Karis, Jericho, and Hezekiah, sister Henrietta Novotny, niece Brenda DeVore, nephew, Mike Novotny, and a long list of special friends who loved her very much.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 3, 2023 from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Keevers Funeral Home in Ennis, Texas.  Services will follow at 2:00 PM. Pallbearers will be Scott Laza, Jeremy Norsy, Brian Noto, Brad Noto, Brady Laza, Mike Novotny, Honorary pallbearer, Liam Blaine.
