Frances Martinez Gonzales, 99, passed away in Ennis, Texas on Tuesday, July 14, 2020.

Frances was born in Cotulla, Texas on October 4, 1920 to Encarnucion and Margarita (Alvarez) Martinez.  She grew up in Cotulla and attended school there.  On December 16, 1942 she married Enrique B. Gonzales and they lived in Cotulla until 1959 when they moved to Ennis.

Frances worked for Story's Manufacturing and for Longhorn Ranch.  She was a member of St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church.  Frances enjoyed flower gardening and was devoted in her attendance to church services.

Frances is survived by grandchildren: Jamie Rosson and husband, Keith, and Ed Watson; great-grandchildren: Walker Rosson, Tucker Rosson, Courtney Owens and husband, Cody and Katie Watson; daughter-in-law, June Gonzales Crow along with numerous nieces and nephews and a host of extended family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Enrique B. Gonzales, a son, Juan M. "Johnny" Gonzales, three brothers and a sister.

Rosary will be recited on Thursday, July 16, 2020 at 9:30 a.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel of Ennis.

Mass of the Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, July 16, 2020 at 10 a.m. in St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church with Father Agustin Fuertes as celebrant.  Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
