Freddie "Lico" Castillo, 73, passed away in Waxahachie, Texas, on Tuesday, October 1, 2024.

Freddie was born in Paducah, Texas on November 20, 1950, to Raymundo and Josefa (Pena) Castillo. Freddie grew up in Ennis, Texas and graduated from Ennis High School. Freddie lived in Ennis, Texas, Pontiac, Michigan and moved back to Ennis in 1980.

Freddie worked for General Motor Company for ten years as an assembly worker, for Ennis Furniture for five years and was the owner of Hill Top Body Shop for five years. He was a member of the St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church of Ennis. Freddie loved his family, fishing, playing and watching softball, racket ball and restoring classic cars. Freddie enjoyed watching boxing and football.

Freddie is survived by six sons: Jesse Tijerina, Mario Rodriquez, Dion Rodriquez, Angel Rodriquez, Adrian Castillo and Sean Castillo; two daughters: Christine Castillo and Cristal Castillo; fifteen grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three brothers: David Castillo, Raul Castillo and Edward Castillo; three sisters: Rose Garcia, Yolanda Trujillo and Delia Marlow along with a host of extended family and friends.

Freddie is preceded in death by his parents, six brothers and three sisters.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 6, 2024, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis with Rosary at 7 p.m.

Mass of the Christian Burial will be held on Monday, October 7, 2024, at 10 a.m. in the St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church of Ennis with Father John Dick as celebrant under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
