Georgia Marie Holy, 92, passed away on Sunday, August 23, 2026, at her home in Ennis with her famiy by her side.

Georgia was born in Ennis, Texas, on October 11, 1933, to Emil and Antoni (Trojacek) Jakubik. Georgia grew up and attended school in Ennis. On May 9, 1959, Georgia married Alfred Alois Holy and they made their home in Ennis, Texas.

Georgia worked in Dallas before marriage and was a homemaker after marriage. She was a member of St. John's Catholic Church in Ennis, SPJST and KJZT. Georgia enjoyed sewing, gardening and being with her family. She especially enjoyed all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren of which she had a special relationship with each.

Georgia is survived by one son, Robert Holy, and his wife, Diana, of Ennis; two daughters: Sheila Young, and her husband, Dave, of Ennis and Michele McManus, and her husband, Kelly, of Ennis; six grandchildren: Michael (Kristi) Russelburg, Mark (Renea) Russelburg, Nicholas Young and Brittany Morgan, Collin (Cami) McManus and Lindsay McManus and Damian Ortiz, Kristy (Kelly) Chandler.

Great-grandchildren, Layah Marie Young, Kyndall (Dylan) Sterling, Marissa (Dustin) Marler, Emilie Cunningham, Parker and Aria Loyer.

She is also survived by her brother Ernest (Ramona) Jakubik, and sisters Dorothy Rejcek and Irene Grmela and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years , Alfred Holy, her parents, one son, Joe D. Holy, one brother, Eugene Jakubik, sister, Mildred Marusak, sister-in law, Mary Jakubik, brothers-in-law Bill Marusak, Henry Rejcek and Paul Grmela.

Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. with Rosary at 9:30. on Monday, August 31, 2026 in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis.

Liturgy outside of Mass will follow at 10 a.m. on Monday , August 31, 2026 in the J.E. Keever Mortuary with Deacon John Waedekin officiating. Pallbearers will be Kelly McManus, Michael Russelburg, Mark Russelburg, Nicholas Young, Collin McManus and Damian Ortiz.

We would like to thank Bristol Hospice for their kindness and gentleness shown in helping us care for our mother over these last several months.
