Georgia Ann Nekuza, 86, passed away on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 in Ennis, Texas.

Georgia was born in Ennis, Texas on March 22, 1934 to Frank and Janie (Lanicek) Prachyl.  She grew up in Ennis and graduated from St. John High School in 1952.  On April 25, 1953 she married Raymond B. Nekuza and they made their home in Ennis.

Georgia worked for over thirty years in customer service for Ennis Business Forms.  She was a member of St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, KJZT, and Catholic Daughters.  Georgia was an excellent cook and baker.  She enjoyed dancing, spending time with her family who were the joy of her life especially her grandchildren.

Georgia is survived by her children: Paul Nekuza and wife, Shelley; Sandra Dennie and husband, Joel and LaVerne Waldrop and husband, Rick; four grandchildren: Aaron Nekuza and wife, Angie, Tyler Dennie, Rylee Nelson and husband, Brent and Caleb Nekuza; great-grandchildren: Grant Nekuza, Olivia Nekuza and Dallas Ryan; a sister, Adele Meyer and a host of extended family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Raymond Nekuza, brothers: George and Lewis; sisters: Helen, Janie, Emily and Wilma; children: Danny and Denise and grandchild, Chad.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 from 6:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis.

For close friends and family, and to protect all participants, a socially distanced and masked rosary and funeral will be held to honor the life of Georgia Nekuza.

Mass of the Christian burial will be held on Thursday, January 7, 2021 at 10 a.m. in the St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church of Ennis with Father John Dick as celebrant and Tyler Dennie as Altar Server.  Pallbearers will be Jeff Prachyl, Joel Dennie, Rick Waldrop, Aaron Nekuza, Grant Nekuza and Caleb Nekuza.  Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in Georgia's name to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the Alzheimer's Foundation of America.
