Gerald "Jerry" H. Schimming passed away on January 28, 2021. He was born in Alma Center, Wisconsin. He graduated from Hammond Tech High School in Hammond, Indiana. He worked at Inland Steel for 36 years before retiring to Texas. Jerry worked at O'Reilly Auto Parts for 15 years. He was THE MOST LOVING father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle and friend. He will be missed greatly.

Jerry is survived by his daughters Karrie (Eddie) Kines and Kim (Perry) Jones, his grandchildren Cody Sheppard, Leslie Kines, Laurie (Wes) Wilemon, Katie (Derek) Treybig and Lea (Steve) Swanson, his great-grandchildren Aiden, Ashton, Alexis, Ryder, Tallulah and Harvey; many nieces and nephews.

The visitation service will be on Thursday, February 4, 2021 from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at J. E. Keever Mortuary, located at 408 North Dallas Street, Ennis, Texas. The graveside service will be on Friday, February 5, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Myrtle Cemetery, located at the intersection of W Knox and Glasscock Roads, Ennis, Texas.
