Glen Davis, 73, joined his Lord and Savior and went home to Heaven on December 15, 2022.

Glen was born in Quannah, Texas, on December 20, 1948, to Dorothy Modell (Bearden) Davis and Chester Blan Davis. Glen spent most of his childhood in Quannah, Texas. While in his teens the family moved to Dallas, Texas. Glen graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1968. Glen later joined the Navy and proudly served his country. While stationed at Andrews Air Force Base he met the love of his life Alice (Thompson) Davis. They were married on June 19, 1971, at Bible Baptist Church in Clinton, Maryland.

Glen loved the Lord and enjoyed serving Him. He studied the Bible and graduated from Thomas Road Bible Institute in Lynchburg, Virginia. He worked many years, along with his wife, serving the Lord in the bus ministry and teaching the children in Jr. Church. In his later years Glen was faithful to share his testimony to those around him. He was able to lead many of them to our Savior.

Glen is survived by his wife, Alice Davis; brother, Gary Davis, and his sister Sheilla (Davis) Thompson. Glen is also survived by his sons: Matthew Steven Davis and John Mark Davis, and his daughter, Lisa Marie Davis. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Joseph Melton, Dustin Davis, Lilian Davis, Samantha (Davis) Doughtery, Miranda Davis, Emily Davis, Serena Davis, Chloe Davis, Charity Davis, Jacob Davis, Elizabeth Davis, Devin Davis, KaRena Davis, Jasper Davis, Willow Davis and Elowen Odell Davis. He is survived by his great-grandchildren: Katelyn Melton, Joseph Melton, Simon Davis and Josephine Doughtery. He is also survived by his siter-in-law, Karla Davis and his brother-in-law, David Thompson and his daughter-in-law, Melissa (McCarty) Davis and Michelle (Moore) Davis.

Glen is preceded in death by his beloved mom, Dorothy (Bearden) Davis, his dad, Chester Blan Davis, his stepdad, Henry W. Rhodes, and his brother Damon Davis.

Many of our extended family, and church families, and co-workers are also gathering for the celebration of Glen's home going.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 22, 2022, from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. Ambassador Baptist Church in Ennis.

A Celebration of his life will be held on Thursday, December 22, 2022, at 2 p.m. also at Ambassador Baptist Church , Ennis with Rev. Marc Smith officiating. Pallbearers will be Matthew Davis, Mark Davis, Devin Davis, Jacob Davis and Joshua Dougherty. Interment will follow in Lakeview Cemetery of Waxahachie under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
