Grace Louise Mohrmann, 81, passed away on Friday, August 23, 2024, in Ennis, Texas.

Grace was born in Brooklyn, New York, on May 14, 1943, to George and Mable (Knutson) Schwind. Grace grew up in Brooklyn, New York and after graduation went on to receive her RN degree. On August 8, 1964, she married John H. Mohrmann. John and Grace moved to the Ennis area in 1983.

Grace worked for over twenty-five years as an RN in multiple hospitals and schools. Grace was a member of the St. Thomas Episcopal Church and the Odd Fellows and Rebecca Lodge. Grace enjoyed cooking especially during the Christmas Holidays and sewing. Grace's grandchildren were the joy of her life.

Grace is survived by son, Bob Mohrmann; daughter, Brenda Lucas and husband, Eric; grandchildren: April, Chris, Hunter, Stephanie, Leslie, and Joseph; four great-grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends.

Grace is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, John Mohrmann, her son, Dave Mohrmann and two brothers.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, August 31, 2024, at 1 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel of Ennis.
