Guadalupe L. Martinez, 88 passed away in Ennis, Texas on Saturday, August 1, 2020.

Guadalupe was born on November 22, 1931 to Pablo and Albira (Livar) Martinez.  He grew up in South Texas.  He married Felicita Garcia and they began their married life in Robstown.

Guadalupe ran the family business for over thirty years as a Rancher.  He was a member of the Texas Longhorn Owners Association and St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church.

Guadalupe is survived by sons: Richard Martinez and wife, Olga, Ralph Martinez and wife, Mary and Jesse Martinez and wife, Susan; daughters Adela Martinez, Angie Dent, Anita Gomes and husband, Joe, Amelia Valdez and husband, John, Diane Arreola and husband, Phillip and Rachel Knight and husband, Vance; forty grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; numerous great-great-grandchildren; two sisters: Cecila Munoz and Maria Cerda along with a host of extended family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Felicita Martinez; children: Pablo Martinez, Domingo Martinez, Rudy Martinez, Ann Marie Martinez and Adelina Salazar and sister, Adela Martinez.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 4, 2020 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis with Rosary at 7 p.m.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, August 5, 2020 at 10 a.m. in the St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church of Ennis.  Pallbearers will be Gino Martinez, Johnny Ray Valdez, Domingo Martinez, Jr., Cody Dlabaj, Zachary Martinez and Zeke Martine.  Honorary pallbearers will be Jake Martinez, Austin Arreola and Sheldon Knight.  Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
